Dragon Mantle / Sash

Dragon mantles are available to order. Please read the following carefully as these pieces are a little different from our other line pieces.

To order a dragon, particularly one different from the concept piece shown, it’s important for the client to be willing to allow significant artistic liberty. Some elements of design will certainly be taken into account. If you have drawings or references of any sort, I will absolutely be happy to incorporate them into the final product but we do not make exact matches or stringent designs.
Due to the versatile nature of the design, each piece will have to be priced individually so it’s not possible to give a starting price like we do with out other pieces. It would however, be reasonable to expect a price range of $2500 to $8000. The dragon int he photo would be $3600 USD + the 7% applicable to all orders and shipping. Various colors and design elements will determine the final price. Keep in mind the majority of what we used for this piece was already in stock. Naturally dragons that require elements to be ordered in will be more costly.

We keep a general sculpt of the head of this dragon. details like scales are sculpted on post casting. If the dragon you have in mind has a drastically different facial anatomy than the one shown, if may require a custom sculpt head. This will alter the price. as a rule of thumb, a dragon with a fur face is going to be less expensive than one with scales.
All dragons will be composed of the head and a long body and tail. We are not currently offering limbs on these pieces. Any component along the body needs to be relatively soft like scales or fins. Details on the head, like horns or antlers that extend out would need to be of reasonable size and shape as to not interfere or risk injury to the client’s face, if you intend on wearing this piece as shown.

Items like this require a lot of time and planning to come to a precise production time and price quote. We will offer a superficial quote if a client has reasonable details to share and some references, but for a deeper and more detailed quote which may include a crude digital mock-up of what the final product may look like approximately we will charge fees. Since items like this require a lot of time to discuss and design, to prevent the misuse of time, there will be a $200 to $500 design fee per piece that will be required in any detailed planning and design component. This is to prevent time being spent engaging with inquirers with no real or immediate plans to purchase. The fee is independent of the order and will not be refundable if the inquirer does not place the order. The design element will be treated as a separate sale and will be contractual as well. If the inquirer then proceeds to place an order, the design fee will be reduced from their total cost. Clients are to understand that mock ups are just blue prints and details of the piece will likely come together in the artistic production process.

RUSHED ORDER FEES

If you are not able to wait the full duration of the average production time at the time of your order, you will be required to place a rushed order.

Rushed order fees are calculated based on the time we have available to us to work on the piece. This is the span of time from your payment clearance date to the ship out date. Fees vary based on current production times. Rushed order fees will also be impacted by upgrades. If a piece is ordered with paws or body for example, the rushed order fees will also be higher.
